Effective Management of Mature Employees Workshop

Synopsis

By 2020, 35% of Singapore’s population will be 50 years and above. Companies will see a corresponding rise in the number of mature employees in a workforce that will comprise of diverse age groups. In addition, the Re-employment Legislation was implemented in January 2012 which requires companies to offer re-employment to eligible employees.  

It is thus imperative for managers and supervisors to be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage and optimise the strengths of mature employees effectively to maintain competitiveness. Moreover, mature employees possess valuable skills, knowledge and experience and have made significant contributions to the company and the society. 

WAF will provide a brief but insightful sharing on the available HR support schemes and grants for SMEs to better engage employees and champion workforce excellence.

Dr Helen Ko

Executive Director
Beyond Age

Dr Helen Ko is Executive Director of Beyond Age, a training and consultancy firm with deep expertise in ageing issues. For over twenty-five years, she pioneered the development of several programmes for seniors in Singapore, including gerontological counselling and a suite of training programmes on managing/counselling mature employees and mentoring/coaching courses for seniors. She has held key appointments as Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of several organisations.
