Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are often regarded as  requiring more resources to care for and are generally perceived as less productive in the workplace. There is a necessity for society and employers to be aware of some of the bias and myths about PWDs and understand on the disability sector.

Working towards inclusiveness in the workplace goes beyond having a good job match per se or knowing the work capabilities of a PWD. A successful integration of PWDs in the workplace has a lot to do with the attitudes adopted towards PWDs and workplace culture and practices that support the employment of PWDs.

In this session, you will hear from two leading employers: Eureka Call Centre Systems (S) Pte Ltd and Secret Recipe Cafe Pte Ltd about their progressive practices pertaining to employment of PWDs .

You will also learn about the OPEN DOOR Fund and other initiatives by the Enabling Employers Network (EEN).

Who should attend: Employers, HR practitioners, supervisors and line managers interested to know more about employing PWDs.
